What we do?
Feed Stray Cats feeds and promotes the feeding of stray cats – combined with having them vaccinated, spayed or neutered. Moreover, we promote cats, knowledge about cat traits, behavior, awareness about cats and their positive influence on humans and society. We are continuously adding activities and material. Some activities are funny, some are challenges, some are simply about proving food. All activities support the overall goal of promoting the positive interactions between humans and cats. We are currently working on a YouTube series in which we place and fill bowls of food to feed stray cats.
Some cats are homeless, starving, and freezing from the cold…
The number of stray cats worldwide is sometimes estimated to be 480 million. Sadly, not all of them have enough to eat. Sadly, some say that they should not be fed due to the risk of overpopulation. Feeding stray cats is not only beneficial to stray cats. Feeding stray cats, the interaction, benefits humans on a very deep level. We promote such interactions between cats and humans. Our goal is the resulting positive reinforcements for all involved.
Why you should feed stray cats – take responsibility – and support us
Why should you feed stray cats? Because starving cats to death is not a solution. There will always be a certain number of stray or feral cats starving, unless they are fed. That is, we advocate that you feed stray cats AND take responsibility for the cat or cats that you are feeding. The latter by establishing if the cat or cats are owned or not. Depending on if they are truly stray or feral, you need to take the steps necessary to have them vaccinated, spayed or neutered. Read more here.
Cats are good for humans in several ways. For example, research show how the company of cats can lower stress and anxiety, improve your cardiovascular health, lower risk for heart disease and stroke, as well as reduce feelings of loneliness.
Humans can be good for cats. Feed Stray Cats promotes the interaction between cats and humans as well as the understanding and appreciation of cats. Please support us by subscribing, sharing and watching our videos and other material.
